Tweak performance of XP

Here is how to improve XP performance to get higher throughput

Open Regedit [Run prompt regedit]
Improve the throughput

1. HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Tcpip/Parameters
2. Add REG_DWORD for the following
3. GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize with value 256000
4. TcpWindowSize with value 256000
5. Tcp1323Opts with value 3

Improve System Performance

1. HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager/Memory Management
2. Double Click DisablePagingExecutive
3. Make the value as 1
